Describe the bug

A client of our Java desktop app encountered a crash:

A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x00007ffea8e2cce9, pid=62876, tid=74120
JRE version: OpenJDK Runtime Environment Microsoft-13106404 (21.0.10+7) (build 21.0.10+7-LTS)
Java VM: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM Microsoft-13106404 (21.0.10+7-LTS, mixed mode, sharing, tiered, compressed oops, compressed class ptrs, g1 gc, windows-amd64)

To Reproduce:

we could not reproduce the issue in a controlled environment.

Expected behavior
Java GUI app not to crash.
