## Description

This PR introduces documentation for **Custom agents** and the **Flutter
Accessibility (`a11y`) custom agent** (`flutter_a11y_agent`) across the
Flutter AI documentation:

- **`/ai/get-started`**: Added Custom agents to the introductory core
capabilities overview alongside Agent skills and the Dart & Flutter MCP
server.
- **`/ai/tools`**:
- Added Custom agents to the tooling ecosystem overview and the "When to
use what" comparison matrix.
- Added a dedicated **Custom agents** section explaining how custom
agents run in isolated contexts for focused workflows.
- Documented the **Flutter Accessibility agent** capabilities (semantic
labels, tap target sizing, contrast/visual checks, and automated code
remediation).
- Added usage instructions for invoking `@flutter_a11y_agent` in
Antigravity.

Direct the Package skills entry in the Table of Contents and in-content
links to https://dart.dev/ai/package-skills and
https://dart.dev/tools/pub/package-skills, add a 301 redirect in
firebase.json, and remove the duplicate page.
Updates `site_shared` from `mermaid_core ^0.1.2` to `^0.3.0`,
following the integration in #13741.

---

This includes the published diagram configuration, CSS color, and layout
fixes, with ELK 0.2.0 resolved transitively.
The existing server-rendered light/dark SVG integration requires no API
changes.

Release notes:
https://github.com/orestesgaolin/mermaid/releases/tag/mermaid-v0.3.0

Validation with Dart 3.14.0-173.0.dev:

- Dependency resolution uses hosted `mermaid_core 0.3.0` and `elk
0.2.0`.
- Analysis of `site_shared`, `sites/docs`, and `sites/www` passes.
- All 75 existing `sites/www` tests pass.
- The actual `MermaidDiagram` component renders the current
documentation example in both themes, preserves its `classDef` color,
and preserves escaped source fallback for malformed input.
- The documentation page was served locally and visually inspected in
both themes.
- Full docs static generation passes: all 1,424 routes generated.
An isolated copy of Jaspr CLI 0.23.4 changed only its hard-coded proxy
port
from 5567 to 5577 to avoid an unrelated local server; the shared CLI and
website source were unchanged. Build options match the standard docs
build.
The generated Markdown documentation page was inspected in both themes,
  with two SVG variants and no fallback.
Removes the "Support Flutter versions earlier than 3.44" workaround
section from the built-in Kotlin plugin migration guide.

This pre-emptively removes the workaround to discourage plugin authors
from adopting the Flutter 3.44 workaround across mixed migration states.
Migrating to built-in Kotlin requires Flutter 3.44 or later because
`kotlin.compilerOptions {}` requires KGP 2.0.0 or higher.

If we decide we actually want to allow plugin authors to use this
workaround, we can always add it back later. This removal is to prevent
further potential damage.

For more on removing the workaround, see this internal doc
[here](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1c4vm5djk8AepvasnVomko_ho3XH7C2uHtEpe-uTRMYU/edit?tab=t.0).

_Description of what this PR is changing or adding, and why:_

Adds a `flutter.dev/go/video-player-web-shaka` redirect for the design
document "Shaka Player integration for video_player web".

The document proposes a Shaka Player-backed `VideoPlayerPlatform`
implementation for Flutter web, which would add HLS and DASH playback
plus
audio-track and video-quality selection to `video_player` on the web.
The
go link is required by the Flutter design document process before the
corresponding design doc issue can be filed against `flutter/flutter`.

The new entry sits in alphabetical order between `/go/video-player-drm`
and `/go/view-metrics-overrides`.

_Issues fixed by this PR (if any):_

Relates to flutter/flutter#66931.

_PRs or commits this PR depends on (if any):_

None.

Fixes #12184

Clarifies the deprecation of `FlutterLoader.loadEntrypoint` in favor of
`_flutter.loader.load()` under a new subsection in the **Common
warnings** section of the web initialization documentation.

## Description

Update the AI navigation references from the removed
`/ai/create-with-ai` route to `/ai/get-started`.

In PR #13778, the AI landing page was reorganized to `/ai/get-started`
and a 301 redirect was configured in `firebase.json`. However, the site
header, mobile sidenav, and speculation prefetch links still pointed to
the old `/ai/create-with-ai` URL, which causes broken navigation in
local preview where Firebase Hosting redirects are not active.

Adds `/why-flutter`, a marketing page making the business case for
adopting
Flutter, implemented from a design handoff.

## Approach

The goal was to reuse what `sites/www` already has rather than introduce
a
parallel set of conventions:

| Concern | Reused |
| --- | --- |
| Header and footer | `DefaultLayout` — the page adds neither |
| Closing call to action | The shared `CTASection`, unchanged |
| Icons | The existing `Icon` component (Material Symbols Rounded) |
| Buttons | `.btn` from `components/_btn.scss` |
| Colour, radius, spacing | Tokens from `core/_vars.scss` |
| Breakpoints | `breakpoints.screen()` mixins, mobile-first |

Nine of the design's eleven type sizes map exactly onto the existing
heading
scale. The section subhead moved 32px → 36px (`--font-size-heading-2`)
and the
case quote landed on 36px exactly. Only the stat numerals (`3X`, `97%`)
and the
fixed hero stage geometry are literals, as no token covers them.

## New files

- `content/why-us/index.md` — page content and frontmatter
- `lib/src/pages/why_us_page.dart` — composes the sections
- `lib/src/components/sections/why_us_*.dart` — six page sections
- `lib/src/utils/visibility_observer.dart` — scroll-into-view trigger
and tween
- `lib/styles/pages/_why_us.scss` — page styles

## Note for reviewers

The four sections that hydrate on the client take their asset URLs as
constructor parameters instead of calling `context.asset()` themselves.
`utils/asset_utils.dart` imports `dart:io`, so calling it from a
`@client`
component pulls the server-only SDK into the client bundle and
`build_web_compilers` silently skips compiling `main.client.dart.js` —
disabling interactivity across the whole site, not just this page. Worth
knowing about if other pages later add client-side sections.

## Verification

- `dart analyze` — clean
- `dart run dash_site --site=www build` — succeeds; `/why-us` generated
- Client bundle compiles (322,812 bytes vs 318,796 on `main`), no
skipped
  entrypoints
- All 28 assets referenced by the page resolve in the build output

## Open questions

1. **The whitepaper PDF is 7.1 MB and committed to the repo.** Every
other PDF
the site links to is hosted externally. Happy to swap the link for a CDN
URL
   if you'd prefer to host it there — probably the right call.
2. The "One Design System" card uses the `hub` symbol where the design
had a
   bespoke SVG. Close, but not identical.
3. The page is not yet linked from the header nav; let me know where it
belongs.

…… (#13867)

Add agentic rules documentation back to the /ai documentation suite,
explaining what agent rules are, linking to the official repository, and
providing instructions for manually configuring rules across supported
AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and GitHub Copilot).

_Description of what this PR is changing or adding, and why:_

Updates the Android deployment guide to link to Android's official
adaptive icon guidelines on `developer.android.com` instead of Material
3 system icons (which only cover in-app symbols and glyphs, not app
launcher icons).

And one blog gif that was previously corrupt but this fixes.

Extracted from flutter/website#13860 since the
PR is too big for GitHub to land.
- Enables some new and some pre-existing lints for site tooling and
implementation.
- Fixes diagnostics reported after enabling those lints.
- Temporarily enabled some others to address certain cases of them.
Similar to the dart.dev site in
dart-lang/site-www#7500.

The flutter.dev site already used it but didn't have the adapted styles,
so it was configured to use fonts we didn't have set up.

_Description of what this PR is changing or adding, and why:_

Google Programmable Search Engine recently introduced an AI Preview
(SGE)
feature. The embedded script injects styles with hardcoded dark gray
text
(`#4D5156`) intended for light backgrounds. In dark mode, this causes
the AI
preview summary text, citation snippets, and footer to have very low
contrast
against the dark background.

This adds styling overrides in `_search.scss` for `.gsc-sge-*` classes
to use the theme's foreground and link color variables.

</ul>
<h2>4.37.4 - 29 Jul 2026</h2>
<ul>
<li>This version of the CodeQL Action adds support for the
<code>tools</code> input for the <code>codeql-action/init</code> step to
be specified using a <code>github-codeql-tools</code> <a
href="https://docs.github.com/en/organizations/managing-organization-settings/managing-custom-properties-for-repositories-in-your-organization">repository
property</a>. This feature will gradually be rolled out following the
release of this version. Once rolled out, this allows for the CodeQL CLI
version that is used in GitHub-managed workflows, such as Default Setup,
to be set to a custom value. For example, customers who run into issues
with rate limits when a new CodeQL CLI version is released can set the
value to <code>toolcache</code> to always use the CodeQL CLI version
that is available in the runner toolcache. For Advanced Setup workflows,
the value provided for <code>tools</code> in the workflow definition
always takes precedence unless the value of the repository property
starts with <code>!</code>. <a
href="https://redirect.github.com/github/codeql-action/pull/4037">#4037</a></li>
<li>Update default CodeQL bundle version to <a
href="https://github.com/github/codeql-action/releases/tag/codeql-bundle-v2.26.2">2.26.2</a>.

</ul>
<h2>4.37.3 - 22 Jul 2026</h2>
<p>No user facing changes.</p>
<h2>4.37.2 - 21 Jul 2026</h2>
<ul>
<li>The new address format for the <code>config-file</code> input that
was introduced in CodeQL Action 4.37.0 is now enabled by default. In
addition to the format described there, the <code>remote=</code> prefix
can now be used to explicitly indicate that the input refers to a remote
file. All previous input formats continue to be accepted as well. <a
href="https://redirect.github.com/github/codeql-action/pull/4023">#4023</a></li>
<li>The CodeQL Action can now make use of <a
href="https://docs.github.com/en/code-security/how-tos/secure-at-scale/configure-organization-security/manage-usage-and-access/giving-org-access-private-registries">configured
private registries</a> in Default Setup to retrieve CodeQL configuration
files from remote repositories that require authentication. This will
allow customers to store their CodeQL configuration in a single
repository that can then be referenced by Default Setup workflows in
other repositories. We expect to roll this and other, related changes
out to everyone in July. <a
href="https://redirect.github.com/github/codeql-action/pull/4007">#4007</a></li>

_Description of what this PR is changing or adding, and why:_

Updates documentation across `docs.flutter.dev` to support iOS 27, macOS
27 ("Golden Gate"), and Xcode 27:

* **Supported platforms
(`sites/docs/src/content/reference/supported-platforms.md`):**
  * Update iOS supported version range to `15 to 27`.
* Update macOS supported version range to `Monterey (12) to Golden Gate
(27)`.
* **UIScene migration guide
(`sites/docs/src/content/release/breaking-changes/uiscenedelegate.md`):**
* Add a version note documenting that Xcode 27 (iOS 27 SDK) mandates
`UIScene` and unmigrated UIKit apps fail to launch on startup.
  * Update the timeline section to reflect enforcement in Xcode 27.
* **macOS building
(`sites/docs/src/content/platform-integration/macos/building.md`):**
* Add an informational warning note regarding the ongoing deprecation of
macOS Intel (x64) hardware, linking to the deprecation strategy.
* **iOS setup
(`sites/docs/src/content/platform-integration/ios/setup.md`):**
* Provide launch commands for both Xcode 27+ (`open -a DeviceHub`) and
Xcode 26 (`open -a Simulator`).
* Refine simulator recommendation phrasing per style guide and remove
unused `[Flutter on latest iOS]` link definition.
* **Retire outdated iOS latest tracker
(`sites/docs/src/content/platform-integration/ios/ios-latest.md`):**
  * Remove outdated feature tracking page.
* Remove corresponding entry from sidenav (`default.yml`) and landing
card (`platform-integration/index.md`).
* **Hosting redirects (`sites/docs/firebase.json`):**
* Add 301 redirect from
`/release/breaking-changes/uiscene-lifecycle-ios` to
`/release/breaking-changes/uiscenedelegate` (resolves 404 from Flutter
3.47 release blog).
* Add 301 redirect from `/platform-integration/ios/ios-latest` to
`/platform-integration/ios` (gracefully handling existing references
including past release notes).

Fixes flutter/website#13596

This is just a quick update of the existing page. While the info is
updated, the page still feels rather stale.

Item 6 (Agent rules) was the only entry in the tooling ecosystem
overview without an example. This adds the parenthetical from the issue,
consistent with how get-started.md describes agent rules.

One list item changed, nothing else.

Closes #13879

Updates the Cursor setup instructions in `/ai/get-started` to reflect
the official [Dart and Flutter
plugin](https://cursor.com/marketplace/flutter) now available on the
Cursor Marketplace. Replaces manual repository clone instructions with
marketplace and in-editor installation methods.

Adds a back-to-top button to long-form blog posts to make navigation
easier.

* **Back-to-top button:** Adds `BackToTopButton`
(`packages/site_shared/lib/components/common/client/back_to_top_button.dart`),
a floating button that appears after the reader scrolls past the hero
and smoothly scrolls back to the top when clicked. It reuses the
existing `in-content` scroll-spy signal, so no additional
scroll-tracking JavaScript is required.

The button is implemented as a shared `site_shared` component rather
than directly in `sites/www` or `sites/docs`. For now, it is only wired
into the blog layout, keeping it reusable for other long-form content in
the future.

This is a companion to the table of contents PR (#13881). The changes
are intentionally split so both PRs can be reviewed and landed
independently; there is no code dependency between them.

_Description of what this PR is changing or adding, and why:_

This PR removes the go/video-player-web-shaka go-link from pub.dev since
this is out of scope for the video_player_web package and should be
owned externally (see
flutter/flutter#66931 (comment))

property</a>.

<h1>CodeQL Action Changelog</h1>
<p>See the <a

packs.</p>
<h2>[UNRELEASED]</h2>
<p>No user facing changes.</p>
<h2>4.38.2 - 24 Sept 2026</h2>
<ul>
<li>Update default CodeQL bundle version to <a
href="https://github.com/github/codeql-action/releases/tag/codeql-bundle-v2.27.1">2.27.1</a>.
<a

</ul>
<h2>4.38.1 - 18 Sept 2026</h2>
<ul>
<li>The CodeQL Action now has experimental support for CodeQL releases
for which per-language bundles are available. Per-language bundles
support analysis for a single language and are therefore smaller than
the combined bundles that allow analysis for all supported languages. As
a result, per-language bundles take up less space on disk and are faster
to download. We expect to roll this change out to everyone in the coming
weeks. <a
href="https://redirect.github.com/github/codeql-action/pull/4146">#4146</a></li>
</ul>
<h2>4.38.0 - 09 Sept 2026</h2>
<ul>
<li>On GitHub-hosted runners, the CodeQL Action now deletes unused
CodeQL bundles from the toolcache before downloading a different bundle,
which frees up disk space for the analysis. We expect to roll this
change out to everyone in September. <a
href="https://redirect.github.com/github/codeql-action/pull/4124">#4124</a></li>
<li>The CodeQL Action now supports CodeQL releases that are compatible
with Linux Arm64 and downloads the native <code>linux-arm64</code>
CodeQL bundle when available. <a
href="https://redirect.github.com/github/codeql-action/pull/4072">#4072</a></li>
<li>Update default CodeQL bundle version to <a

</ul>
<h2>4.37.6 - 04 Aug 2026</h2>
<ul>
<li>Changed the default filepath for the new remote file address format
that was introduced in CodeQL Action 4.37.0 / 3.37.0 to
<code>.github/codeql-config.yml</code> to align it with the suggested
path that is used elsewhere. <a
href="https://redirect.github.com/github/codeql-action/pull/4070">#4070</a></li>
</ul>
<h2>4.37.5 - 03 Aug 2026</h2>
<ul>
<li>Fixed a bug where a network error while streaming the download of
the CodeQL bundle could terminate the <code>init</code> Action instead
of falling back to downloading the bundle before extracting it. <a
href="https://redirect.github.com/github/codeql-action/pull/4061">#4061</a></li>
</ul>
<h2>4.37.4 - 29 Jul 2026</h2>
<ul>
<li>This version of the CodeQL Action adds support for the
<code>tools</code> input for the <code>codeql-action/init</code> step to
be specified using a <code>github-codeql-tools</code> <a
href="https://docs.github.com/en/organizations/managing-organization-settings/managing-custom-properties-for-repositories-in-your-organization">repository
property</a>.

This PR is ready for review. There are too many changes to list each
page or each example, but here are some of the highlights:

- Updated [architectural
overview](https://flutter-docs-prod--docs-pr13930-decouping-e5w6og7b.web.app/resources/architectural-overview)
- Updated
[/ui](https://flutter-docs-prod--docs-pr13930-decouping-e5w6og7b.web.app/ui)
page
- Updated [widget
catalog](https://flutter-docs-prod--docs-pr13930-decouping-e5w6og7b.web.app/ui/widgets)
- both the intro text and the API links
- Updated
[glossary](https://flutter-docs-prod--docs-pr13930-decouping-e5w6og7b.web.app/resources/glossary)
- Updated example code - all except the code on the pages that use
embedded DartPad and the corresponding examples. @goderbauer is working
on addressing that.
- Updated [using
packages](https://flutter-docs-prod--docs-pr13930-decouping-e5w6og7b.web.app/packages-and-plugins/using-packages)
page

Other than the embedded DartPad examples, I haven't paid attention to
the localization pages yet. I'd like to land this and then incrementally
fix other things that need addressing. The rest of the writing team is
trying not to step on my toes for this PR, so I'd like to get it
approved and landed.

THANKS!
Adds a new flutter.dev showcase for Dartmouth Ocean Technologies Inc.
(DOT), who unified three legacy desktop sensor GUIs (Python, C#,
LabVIEW) into a single Flutter desktop app and shipped it in six months.

- New page: `sites/www/content/showcase/dartmouth-ocean-technologies.md`
- New WebP assets (logo 635x470 plus three in-app screenshots) under
`sites/www/content/showcase/images/third_party/case_studies/dartmouth-ocean-technologies/`

This PR adds the Hatay'ı Yaşat showcase case study:

- Adds `sites/www/content/showcase/hatayi-yasat.md` covering how a
volunteer team used Flutter and Firebase to help earthquake survivors in
Hatay find relocated businesses, with success metrics and a quote from
the project lead.
- Adds WebP logo, poster, and body screenshots (converted from the
original PNG assets) under
`sites/www/content/showcase/images/third_party/case_studies/hatayi-yasat/`.
_Description of what this PR is changing or adding, and why:_

Replaced occurrences of 3.47.3 to 3.47.5 in "Install Flutter manually"
docs. Users that copy-pasted commands blindly without looking at the
version difference will fail to extract the downloaded Flutter archive
file.

Affected page: https://docs.flutter.dev/install/manual

Arabic-language Flutter course.

- Course: Flutter Master Course From Zero To Hero

…ent (#13946)

- Updates the Hatay'ı Yaşat showcase `publishDate` from 2026-09-29 to
2026-10-01.
- Changes the "3 months" metric to `3` with "months to launch on iOS and
Android" as the description, so the headline number no longer wraps
(matches the convention used in `holafly.md`).
- Top-aligns success metric blocks (`align-items: flex-start`) in
`_stories.scss` so headline numbers line up even when descriptions have
different line counts. This applies to all showcase pages.
The Dashboard listed the /ui/animations/tutorial page as being
particularly stale.

This PR's updates include:
- Updating the text, patterns described, etc for _all_ of the files in
/ui/animations.
- Updating the example code
- Adding code excerpts to the pages (the animations work predates
code-excerpts).
- Removing the /examples/_animations directory, which wasn't being used
on the site.

## Presubmit checklist

- [x] If you are unwilling, or unable, to sign the CLA, even for a
_tiny_, one-word PR, please file an issue instead of a PR.
- [x] If this PR is not meant to land until a future stable release,
mark it as draft with an explanation.
- [x] This PR follows the [Google Developer Documentation Style
Guidelines](https://developers.google.com/style)—for example, it doesn't
use _i.e._ or _e.g._, and it avoids _I_ and _we_ (first-person
pronouns).
- [x] This PR uses [semantic line
breaks](https://github.com/dart-lang/site-shared/blob/main/doc/writing-for-dart-and-flutter-websites.md#semantic-line-breaks)
  of 80 characters or fewer.
Introduce a new `dart run dash_site optimize-images <image paths...>`
command that converts the specified PNG and JPG images to webp if they
will benefit from doing so. The tool is intended for manual use during
development rather than automatic conversions during the build, no
longer requiring contributors to manually set up and configure a tool.

Most of this is implemented as a shared package at
`packages/dash_media_convert` that fetches and stores Google's pre-built
cwebp binaries for the conversions. This can be shared with dart.dev and
perhaps expanded to gifs in the future as well.
As it says. Still not using package:material or package:cupertino for
these pages because they use DartPad. But, I am otherwise refreshing
these pages and updating the code, text, and images to use current
standards.

…er alignment (#13969)

_Description of what this PR is changing or adding, and why:_

- Replaces `sites/www/content/why-flutter/flutter-whitepaper-2026.pdf`
with the updated Flutter whitepaper PDF.
- Adds `sites/www/content/why-flutter/images/why-flutter-sharing.png`
and sets `socialImage` in `sites/www/content/why-flutter/index.md` for
the Open Graph and Twitter card metadata.
- Centers `.stacked-header` and `.why-flutter-sub` in
`_why_flutter.scss` so the headers for the **Design fidelity**,
