Template instructions contained invalid counter bounds, misleading profile migration advice, incorrect import steps and incomplete package guidance. These corrections align the guides with the development code and explain which changes affect database definitions versus physical RRD files.

  • Correct the UDP walkthrough, template compatibility codes, graph actions and tables, aggregate propagation and color rotation.
  • Replace destructive profile advice with backed-up migration guidance, and document the unsupported COMPUTE creation path with usable alternatives.
  • Complete the package creation, import, repository and public-key guides. Keep these development interfaces distinct from Cacti 1.2 workflows.
  • Repair the XML export and Apache examples and align the ESXi configuration instructions.

Documentation only. Source comparison used Cacti develop at 88a8ad040979edd943774a0e338469b764d46a23.

Validation: all 18 changed pages pass spelling and GFM rendering checks; 218 local link references resolve. The 17 edited guides pass the repository Markdown rules, and the README navigation edit adds no formatting findings. XML parsing, isolated Apache configuration checks, shell syntax and RRDtool counter/DS-addition probes pass. No live package import, browser workflow, device configuration or history migration was performed.
