I'm a long-time committer to the Ruby language, where I wrote and maintain core features and libraries such as Enumerator and Set. I'm also a core developer of gems like Nokogiri, Mechanize, and Feedjira.

I maintain Huginn, the self-hosted automation tool I have co-authored for many years. These days I keep it secure, easy to deploy, and up to date with the Ruby ecosystem.

Lately I've been building tools for working alongside AI coding agents. Critty is a terminal UI for reviewing AI-generated code and plans, and tfil is a PTY proxy that filters terminal sequences to make interactive TUIs work better. My Hammerspoon modules for keyboard customization are available as Knu.spoon.

I'm a former FreeBSD committer and the creator of Portupgrade. I've also written Emacs Lisp packages available on MELPA, and I send patches to tools I use every day, such as Ghostty, iTerm2, Hammerspoon, Karabiner-Elements, and KeePassXC.

I love automation and improving productivity. Free your hands from tedious routine work, and make computers do things for you with the power of programming. As a bonus, it is so much fun!

☕️ You'll receive a Sponsor badge on your profile. $5 buys me a cup of fine Darjeeling tea or a latte in the morning, which makes me feel great about starting my day. Your support goes to all of my open source work, including Huginn, Critty, Knu.spoon, and of course Ruby. Thanks for your support!

🍵 You'll receive a Sponsor badge on your profile. My daily beverage is a kind of sencha, Japanese deep-steamed green tea. $10 roughly equals half a month's worth of the tea leaves I consume; tea has become pricier, and so has my taste. It helps me work on Huginn, Critty, Knu.spoon, and of course Ruby, and whatever else you can't live without, in a relaxed and focused mood. Thanks for boosting my productivity!

🍺 For companies offering Huginn hosting. You'll receive a Sponsor badge, and your service will be listed with a small logo (up to 120px wide) under "Sponsored hosting providers" in the Huginn docs, subject to review under the listing policy. The listing is an acknowledgement, not an endorsement, and ends with the sponsorship. Read the policy first: listings may be declined, and sponsorships are not refunded. Also, $25 lets me explore new craft beers at a local liquor store. OSS work is mostly exciting but sometimes stressful, and a glass of IPA helps me through a tough day. Thanks for giving me a relaxing time!

⌨️🖲️ For companies relying on Huginn or my other projects. You'll receive a Sponsor badge, your logo (up to 240px wide) in the Sponsors section of the Huginn README and sponsors page if you wish, and my big remote hug. Logos are reviewed under the listing policy; listings may be declined, and sponsorships are not refunded. I love hacking input-event software such as Karabiner-Elements and Hammerspoon, and I love input devices just as much. Good keyboards and pointing devices keep tenosynovitis away so I can keep writing good code as long as possible. $100 a month is a huge help in finding even better ones. Thanks for supporting my health!
