Is there any progress in Line Numbers and Inline Footnotes?

I was playing around with SILE and I found these two issues #1070 and #372 about inline footnotes and line numbers.

As I did not find any update on that threat, so I want to ask if these two features were somewhere implemented.

Nope (as far as I know)

Contributors are certainly welcome (and it may have to be a 3rd-party module as well, this is a very specific way of handling notes and it likely requires some clever algorithm that's worth documenting on its own).
